"You're obsessed with Alice in Wonderland," one of my daughters said to me a couple years ago.
Well, I don't think I'm obsessed, but I do have a particular fondness for the stories. (Yes, there are two separate stories that take place in two separate lands, despite what Disney would have you believe.)
Maybe it's because when I was in fifth grade, our chorus class put on a version of the Disney musical. (I was a card.) And it helped that one of my friends (who was also a card), gave me a lovely hardback cover book of both stories, which I still have today.
I also just love some of the ... language of it. How can you not love the poem "Jabberwocky"? When something exciting happens, I'll sometimes actually say, "O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay!”
