How to Make Cheesy Ravioli Lasagna Bake

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). In a large skillet, cook the ground beef with Italian seasoning and garlic powder over medium heat. Break it up as it cooks. Once browned and no longer pink, drain the excess grease.

In an 8x8-inch baking dish, spread ⅓ of the pasta sauce on the bottom.

Layer half of the frozen ravioli on top of the sauce.

Sprinkle half of the cooked beef over the ravioli. Top with ½ cup of mozzarella cheese.

Pour another ⅓ of the sauce over the cheese. Repeat the layers: ravioli, beef, ½ cup cheese, and the rest of the sauce.

Top with the remaining ½ cup of cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 45-55 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove from the oven and let it sit for a few minutes before serving.

Optional: Garnish with chopped fresh parsley.
Hint: Let the casserole sit for 5-10 minutes before cutting so the layers can settle. If you like crispy cheese on top, uncover it for the last 5 minutes of baking.
Substitutions & Variations
- Gluten-Free: Use gluten-free ravioli and check that your sauce and cheese are gluten-free.
- Vegetarian: Swap out the ground beef for a plant-based crumble or sautéed mushrooms.
- Low-Lactose: Use lactose-free cheese and dairy-free ravioli (vegan brands work well).
- Halal: Make sure to use halal-certified ground beef and ravioli.
- Hindu-Friendly: Replace the beef with a vegetarian protein like paneer, tofu, or mixed vegetables.
- Deluxe Version: Add a layer of sautéed spinach or roasted zucchini for extra flavor and texture.
- Kid-Friendly: Top with crushed crackers or a sprinkle of mini pepperoni to make it fun for little ones.
💭Crucial Success Tips
- Don't thaw the ravioli-keep them frozen so they hold their shape during baking.
- Cover with foil to keep the moisture in. If you like a golden cheesy top, remove the foil for the last few minutes.
- For extra sauciness, add an additional ½ cup of pasta sauce between the layers.
FAQ
Yes! Just reduce the baking time by 10-15 minutes since fresh pasta cooks faster.
Cheese-filled and meat-filled both work well-just use your favorite.
