Ingredients

  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • ½ yellow onion diced
  • 1 tablespoon hamburger seasoning
  • 1 ½ teaspoon garlic powder divided
  • 12 slices Swiss cheese
  • 4 ounce fresh mushrooms sliced
  • 12 slider rolls King’s Hawaiian adds a touch of sweetness
  • 2 tablespoon butter

Method

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F. In a large skillet over medium heat, add the ground beef, diced onion, hamburger seasoning, and 1 teaspoon of garlic powder. Cook everything together, breaking up the beef as it browns, until no longer pink. Once cooked, set it aside.
  2. Slice your slider rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom halves in a casserole dish in a single layer.
  3. Lay 6 slices of Swiss cheese over the bottom buns.
  4. Spoon the cooked beef mixture evenly across the cheese.
  5. Scatter the sliced mushrooms on top of the beef layer.
  6. Add the remaining 6 slices of Swiss cheese over the mushrooms.
  7. Place the top halves of the slider buns over everything to form your sandwiches.
  8. Melt the butter and stir in the remaining ½ teaspoon of garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls to help them brown and add flavor.
  9. Cover the casserole dish with aluminum foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for 3 more minutes to let the tops turn golden. Let them cool for a minute, then slice into 12 individual sliders. Serve warm and enjoy!
