Mini Apple Crumbles with Cinnamon Oat Topping

These mini apple crumbles are warm, cozy, and packed with cinnamon-spiced apples under a buttery oat topping. Perfectly portioned and made for indulging!

Ingredients
  

FOR THE APPLE LAYER
  • 1 tablespoon butter melted
  • 3 large apples peeled and cut into 1 inch chunks that are ½ inch thick
  • 3 tablespoons light or dark brown sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • teaspoon nutmeg
FOR THE TOPPING
  • cup pack light or dark brown sugar
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup old fashioned oats
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 6 tablespoons butter melted
  • Serve with ice cream and caramel optional

Method
 

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and place six 6-ounce ramekins on a baking sheet.
  2. Brush each ramekin with the 1 tablespoon of melted butter.
  3. Make the apple mixture: In a large bowl, combine the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
  4. Divide the apple mixture evenly between the ramekins.
  5. Make the topping: In a medium-sized bowl, mix the brown sugar, flour, oats, cinnamon, and the 6 tablespoons of melted butter using a fork or mixing spoon.
  6. Pour the topping mixture over the apple mixture in each ramekin.
  7. Bake for about 35 minutes, or until the top is lightly browned and the apples are soft.
  8. Best served warm, with ice cream and caramel if you like.
