I admit it: I’m a sucker for anything having to do with bears.
Whether it’s Corduroy and his missing button, Winnie the Pooh (both Disney or classic versions), or even Snuggles the Fabric Softener Bear if bears are involved, I’m a fan.
If I see a stuffed bear in the store, I immediately want to give him a name and take him home with me. We had an unofficial Bear Theme when we set up our nursery, with framed teddy bear photos on the walls and a mobile with “flying bears,” as my husband called them, over the crib.
My mother even suggested during my first pregnancy that if the baby was a boy, we should name him “Teddy” because I like bears so much. (An interesting idea, but one that instantly did not appeal to me.)
And don’t even get me started on how adorable this Heathrow Airport Christmas commercial is:
If you share my strange weakness for bears (or know someone who does), you’ll probably love one or more of these black bear Christmas ornaments. Some are more “cute” (my favorite type of bear), some are more realistic, and some can be personalized. Whether you’re hanging them from your tree, giving them as a gift, or simply decorating your home, school, or office, you’re sure to find something “bear-y” special. (Sorry, couldn’t help it!)
This adorable bear family comes in a version of three bears, five bears (that would be my family), or six bears. They can be personalized at no extra charge.
This is the perfect ornament for folks who love to go camping and hiking. The two bears are in a tent with the words “Happy Campers on it.” It comes with an attached red ribbon for hanging.
This 3-inch ornament is hand-crafted and features two bears going on a sleigh ride together, with one of them wearing reindeer antlers. The jingle bell that actually rings is a nice extra touch.
The perfect gift for someone who loves both music and bears. These two bears are going out caroling together at night, complete with a candle and songbook. This ornament is made of hand-cast resin and is just under three inches tall.
